”CaribbeanTales” is the trademark of a group of companies based in Canada and Barbados, founded by filmmaker Frances-Anne Solomon,  that aims to develop, produce, market and distribute Caribbean film and television content.

CT’s other activities and brands include: CaribbeanTales Inc., a registered Charity based in Toronto, Canada; CaribbeanTales International Film Festival that produces events around the world; CaribbeanTales Incubator Program, that develops sustainable content for the international market; CaribbeanTalesFlix, our production arm; andCaribbeanTales-TV, a video on demand platform.




CaribbeanTales (CT) is a group of media companies that produces, markets, and exhibits Caribbean-themed films for regional and international distribution, including: CaribbeanTales Worldwide Distribution, the first full-service film distribution company in the English-speaking Caribbean, that aims to become the go-to solution for producers and buyers of Caribbean-themed content. Launched regionally in Barbados in May 2010, and internationally during the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival, the company now represents over 300 films from the Region and Diaspora. As well as distribution, CTWD aims to provide co-production services to producers of Caribbean-themed content.

It is a glorious celebration of Caribbean-themed films from all over the world and a key marketing and acquisitions event based on the CTWD Catalogue.   Additional festivals are held in Toronto, Barbados and New York;  CIPAVE.



CaribbeanTales Worldwide Distribution (CWTD) is the first full-service film sales and distribution dedicated to Caribbean-themed audiovisual content worldwide. The CTWD Catalogue has over three hundred titles to date.


The CaribbeanTales Incubator (CTI) is a year-round training program that aims to develop strong, original, sustainable film and television content from the Caribbean and its diaspora for sale and distribution in the international market.



CaribbeanTales-TV is a partnership between CaribbeanTales a Canadian-based educational multimedia company; an innovative VOD platform owned and run by filmmakers, and ParastooFilm an online digital media solutions provider.

The aim is to provide a dynamic internet hub for Caribbean films, that is accessible to audiences worldwide.
